Scran Salon Launches in Glasgow

Last night saw the launch of Scran Salon Glasgow. Inspired and supported by Blythe from Lunchquest, we decided it was time Glasgow had the chance for a Scran Salon.

We settled in upstairs at The Raven (on Renfield Street) with some high tech signs to show the way!

With a brief welcome and outline from Emma (if you eat or drink come along, no need to be a blogger, geek, professional), we handed over to Blythe to give a little introduction on what the Edinburgh event has been all about to date.

Next up was Fraser Wilson, a local food writer who has recently produced an excellent book (with a recipe from us!) about the Glasgow dining scene. Fraser gave us a helpful insight into how the book developed and came together.

After this the Chef at The Raven joined us to show off their food and give us an insight into its preparation.

We then got to delve into the meaty nibbles which went down well. After this more mingling, beer and chat.
