Recipe : Halloween Shrunken Heads

Ghoulish shrunken heads bobbling about in a punch of blood🩸 Er OK it’s dehydrated apples and Vimto but if anyone asks I shrunk the last person who annoyed me!

This Halloween terrify guests with these shrunken heads. Add them to kids drinks or an adult punch, this spooky drink will surely get some comments.

Equipment

Make the heads

Peel 6 red apples, core and halve lengthways. Using a small sharp knife and a melon baller, create different faces and expressions on the apples.
If you are not baking the apples straight away, coat them with lemon juice to prevent browning.

Bake your heads

Preheat the oven to gas ½, 120ºC, fan 100ºC.
Place heads on a lined baking tray.
Bake for 2 hours or until

Make the punch

We used Vimto for its ghoulish look. For an adult version try cider.
Warming up the cider is recommended.
Once the cider is warm, add the heads.
