Baked Camembert with thyme and honey recipe

Gooey Baked Camembert

 

Baked Camembert is a classic, and rightly so, with its gooey inside and tasty sturdy rind it’s perfect served with some crusty bread.  Add some  fruit chutney and fresh figs for a more luxurious meal.

Baked Camembert with thyme and honey recipe

Ingredients

1  round camembert cheese (approx 8oz)

2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped

1 clove garlic, sliced

2 tbsp honey

Method

Preheat the oven to 200C/400F.

Remove the cheese from its plastic wrapping and place back into its wooden box.

Using a sharp knife, slice into the top of the cheese.

Add some chopped thyme and garlic into the holes.

Sprinkle with thyme and drizzle honey on top.

Set the cheese on a baking sheet and bake for around 15 min.

Carefully remove cheese from oven and transfer to a plate.

Serve immediately.
