Preview: Bread Meats Bread, 701 Great Western Road, Glasgow

Bread Meats Bread have grown up

Looking for a burger but in a setting more “grown up” and less “teen”? Then the new Great Western Road branch of Bread Meats Bread could be for you. It used to be a Bank of Scotland and still retains some classy cornicing.

Decor

Swish.  Booths, smooth wooden tables (none of the rustic stuff here), gleaming tiles and inoffensive oldie background music (Beatles, Beach Boys etc.).

The Menu

Stacked as always with some new additions to keep you going back.  We loved the fried chicken and cheese.

The Food

We got to try out some of the menu as sliders, a few full-size burgers and some tasters – all with the Bread Meats Bread feeling of: if you don’t need to use at least two napkins, you’re not eating it right!

Lettering on the wall looks like Paesano. Imagine if Paesano and BMB opened up a joint restaurant Mmm
