Port of Leith Distillery Launch White Port

White Port Negroni

White Port from Port of Leith Distillery

The Port of Leith Distillery company has extended its award-winning ‘Cask Partners’ range of port and sherry with the launch of a new White Port product.

Working with the company’s Portuguese partner Martha’s Wines the Port of Leith Distillery White Port is crafted from a blend of superior quality Malvasia fina, Viosinho, Gouveio and Donzelinho grapes.

The bottle’s stylish packaging is in keeping with the premium, modern design of the Tawny Port bottle and features the trademark illustrative label design showing the White Port journey.

The Distillery’s Cask Partners range was first established with the launch of an Oloroso Sherry in 2018. Comprising fine wines sourced from exemplary, independent producers, these partner casks will eventually be used by the Distillery to mature its whisky products.

The Company’s new Port of Leith Distillery is currently under construction on a prime waterfront position in Leith next to the Royal Yacht Britannia and Ocean Terminal centre and is scheduled to open in June 2022. The Distillery’s parent company, Muckle Brig Ltd, also produces the award-winning Lind & Lime Gin in Leith.

Commenting on the White Port launch, Ian Stirling, co-founder of the Port of Leith Distillery, said:

“For centuries Leith was recognised as Scotland’s gateway to the world and home to countless Scottish merchants who would fill their ships with exotic cargos that filled the many warehouses that once lined our shore. Our inspiration for our product releases is that intrepid spirit and we’re delighted to extend our Cask Partners range with the launch of White Port.

“We are aiming to educate consumers on the variety and strong appeal of Port. White Port is a beautiful drink, widely enjoyed overseas, and we are confident it will have the same impact here. It’s a delicious aperitif, perfectly accompanied with olives, cheese and charcuterie, a refreshing drink with tonic and wonderful base for a cocktail with the white port negroni one of our preferred serves.

“We’re incredibly proud to be working with Martha’s Wines in particular and have forged a special relationship whereby we collaborate on bringing exceptional products to the UK and beyond.”

With an RRP of £17, White Port is available to buy online via and through a network of specialists and independents. For more information, visit www.leithdistillery.com
