Stumbled in to avoid the post match traffic and to stave off some hunger.
£12.50 for three course for their Christmas menu.
Starting with a mixed starter for two, choice of two platters, we went for prawn toasts, garlic/chilli chicken and spring rolls.
Chilli chicken had a good kick, the skin was crispy and flavoursome (and I don’t usually like skin).
Then onto mains
Kung Po Chicken
Good amount of cashew nuts, could have done with a bit more of a kick (or any I think the chillis were maybe waving from the Forge) Fried rice was good.
Beef Chow Mein
Good amount of beef and noodles. Glad to see not too much onions 🙂 very soy but delish.
Ended with Christmas pudding and brandy sauce and a banana fritter
Great old style Chinese restaurant, popular with locals. Would go again.
