Nourish your body and soul this Christmas – with Mara seaweed

Brussel Sprouts

Give your immune system a boost this Christmas with Mara seaweed seasonings. If you are an avid home cook then using seaweed seasonings is as easy as using herbs and spices.

There are lots of reasons to make seasonings a part of your everyday kitchen store cupboard. Seaweed is one of the foods that is considered a ‘niche’ food but it really should be a staple in your diet. It is incredibly nutritious in many different ways but is unique in its high concentration of iodine which is essential for the function of the thyroid gland, and there is no other food which can supply this essential vitamin in such high quantities. The thyroid controls many of the body functions but is most important to control your energy levels, with low thyroid function causing severe fatigue. As well as the incredible amounts of iodine, seaweed is also a great source of iron, copper and Vitamin B12 (which prevent anaemia) and calcium for strong bones and teeth.

Mara seaweed has an amazing journey from the sea to your plate – it is sustainably hand-harvested in pure cold waters, then it is blended naturally to produce dried seaweeds before eventually morphing into unique seaweed seasonings. You can add these delicious seasonings to almost every food, from eggs, salads and rice vegetables – to everyone’s comfort food ‘fries’ – or as coatings for whitefish and poultry. You can even add them to your favourite baking treats. Check out all the delicious recipes on offer – especially Christmas Brussels Sprouts
