Glasgow’s Church on the Hill refurbishment
Owners of Glasgow bars, The Raven, Smokin’ Fox and The Spiritualist have acquired Church on the Hill. Based in the Southside, Church on the Hill is a popular venue with an enviable location between Shawlands, Langside and Queens Park.
I passed-by the other day and noticed that there was a lot of work happening. Looking forward to see what it looks like inside.
The re-launch of the former church is set for April 2018 with around £650,000 being spent to reinvigorate the building and offerings.
Shaun Donnellan, Area Manager, said:
“Glasgow’s Southside is an area so full of pride, talent and creativity, so it’s crucial to us to ensure the ‘spirit of the Southside’ remains firmly at the heart of this project.
“It has always been important to us that we support local, independent businesses where possible, so we are looking to engage in sponsorship opportunities with community sports teams and to provide long-term contributions to local charities. We’re also excited to say that we will be a host venue for 2018’s Southside Fringe!”
The chefs behind The Raven and Smokin’ Fox have created a menu that will have dishes such as the Spice Rubbed Lamb Shoulder or Beer Glazed Whole Roast Cauliflower. The Church on the Hill burger is sure to be a good seller.
The team at The Spiritualist have collaborated with the Church on the Hill to inject a creative twist into the drinks menu.
