Nespresso opens new store in Glasgow

Nespresso has opened a proper shop in Glasgow on Buchanan Street after the success of the stall within Buchanan Galleries.  Located at 60 Buchanan Street, where the Russell & Bromley shoe shop was, right in the middle of shopping heaven.

Mrs Foodie went along for a nosey and to try out the coffee from the new Vertuo machine.

The Shop

As expected the shop is swish.  Designed perfectly with everything looking perfect in its place.  Here you can buy capsules, machines, cups everything you would need for making Nespresso at home.

The Coffee

Nespresso Glasgow

I got to try the Nicaragua and India capsules as straight espresso.  The Nicaragua is a sweet and light coffee, no need for milk here.  If you like a more intense coffee, try the India.

The new Vertuo machine has a different capsule system.   The coffees produced by the new capsules having a significantly large crema, so much so that the coffee looks a bit like Guinness!

The capsule display for the Vertuo machine also looks like a spaceship control panel. 🙂
