
New Covid-19 restrictions
Boris Johnson explained in his TV address new restrictions throughout the UK in order to deal with the Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic.
From now you will only be allowed to leave home for the following reasons:
Shopping for necessities, eg food or medicine. This should be carried out as infrequently as possible.
One form of exercise a day, such as running or cycling, alone or with household members.
For medical or care needs, such as to help a vulnerable person.
Travelling to and from work, but only if you cannot work from home.
otherwise stay at home.
It will be banned:-
to meet friends
to shop for anything beyond essentials
gather in crowds. No more than groups of two (unless you live together)
Police will be able to enforce the rules.
Closure of libraries, outdoor gyms and playgrounds. Churches and other places of worship.
Weddings, christenings, baptisms and all social gatherings will be banned. Except funerals.
This will last for at least three weeks, at the end of this time the rules may be relaxed.
