Hills and Harbour ‘Reinvent the bottle’
Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year 2020, Crafty Distillery, relaunch their multi-award winning Hills & Harbour gin in a new bottle that reduces environmental impact whilst being, we think, the worlds first bottle top design – the stopper is a reusable drinks measure. This inbuilt spirit measure and bottle top is possible due to the extra-wide neck and opening of the Hills & Harbour bottle. The stopper is made from 100% cork and natural wood.
The overall glass weight has been reduced by -30% compared to their previous design and competitor bottles.
Owner and Founder of Crafty Distillery, Graham Taylor comments,
“Fans of our gin have always commented on the amazing taste and the beauty of our existing bottle, so we had to be very careful to retain key elements of the design whilst getting ‘crafty with the rest. The new design delivers a balance of both beauty and added functionality, such as the measure in the stopper, which we hope will improve both the drinking experience and reduce waste. Even the de-bossed illustration down the side has a purpose. It tells the story of our fields, forests and shorelines but it’s also there to provide grip whilst pouring. For us, great innovation always has good reasoning behind it and that’s exactly what has driven this exciting new evolution from day one.
The stunning bottle retains many loved elements like the iconic shifting tones of the glass itself. From deep forest green to dappled turquoise that symbolises the distillery’s unique coastal and tree-lined location in Galloway, which, both flavours and gives name to the gin. Using Noble Fir from the forests Bladderwick seaweed its coastlines, Hills & Harbour celebrates Scotland both in spirit and substance – a story cleverly illustrated throughout the new bottle design.”
Hills & Harbour Gin is available in the new bottle from October 15th 2021 from select stockists as well as online via https://craftydistillery.com.
