A table was booked at New Anand to celebrate Christmas Eve and to help ward off the cold with some curry.
We decided to go for the Buffet which I was surprised to see still running on Christmas Eve and not the usual double the price fun that restaurants usually pull at this time of year.
Sun - Thurs £8.95, Fri - Sat £9.95
Some poppadoms with sauce and spiced onions were brought out to start us off. I'm not a big spiced onion fan, but these were crisp and seasoned well, I think they may have converted me. A good selection of food in the buffet which was replenished regularly - so no stale, greasy or cold food here. Starters included salad, mushroom pakora, vegetable pakora, onion bhaji, chicken pakora and chicken chaat. Mains - lamb bhoona, chicken tikka masala, two types of vegatable curry, and more I simply can't remember there were 9 dishes serving mains in total to choose from. Also garlic naan and rice at the side to accompany your meal.
After having stuffed ourselves silly, I kept room for some Gulub Jamin. One order of these and some ice cream and fruit for the man. A cheap and tasty night out. Looks like the sort of place that would be good for a night out as well as a night with the other half (or mum and dad!)

Did you come out smelling like the food? I find that in there, if I recall they cook in the same area. Good food though!

Know this place pretty well and also like their curries especially after a few pints in Heraghtys which is just round the corner.
