A peek inside Six by Nico Edinburgh
The latest addition to Edinburgh’s restaurant and bar scene has now opened its doors and we’ve got some images to share.
Six by Nico Edinburgh on Hanover Street in the New Town is the brainchild of Scottish-Italian Chef, Nico Simeone. The interior boasts a minimal design, contrasted by grand fixtures and fittings with atmospheric mood lighting.
Every six weeks, Nico and his team will be serving a brand new six-course tasting-menu – each one themed upon a different place, memory or idea.
‘The Chippie: Salt and Sauce Edition’ will kick-start this series of evolving concepts from today (Friday 30th March). The six-course tasting-menu provides a nostalgic nod to the traditional fish and chip shop showcasing the flavours for which the UK is famed for worldwide and acknowledges the infamous ‘Salt and Sauce’. Dishes includes Chips and Cheese, Steak Pie, Sausage Supper and the classic Deep Fried Mars Bar (of course).
Diners can book a table for ‘The Chippie’, which runs from March 30th – May 13th 2018. Open from midday, Tuesday through to Sunday, each six-course menu will be available from noon til night. The menu will be priced at £28 per person and diners will have the option to enjoy an expertly selected wine pairing for an additional £25.
