Last year, Billington’s  won. They are just up the road from the railway station in Lenzie. Head out there for a great selection of beers/wines and their ice cream is delicious.

Delis and independent food shops are urged to encourage their customers, fans and suppliers to nominate them for the competition, or apply by nominating themselves.

The judges will be looking at the following:

Range of international and local produce?
Quality and value of produce?
Product knowledge and enthusiasm
Customer service?
Services, facilities and community involvement

Judges include:

Barney Desmazery – Food Editor, BBC Good Food Magazine

Katy Truss – Fabulous Food Finds and BBC Good Food Shows’ Artisan Food Specialist

Laura Biggs – Managing Director of BBC Good Food Shows

Nominations close on 15th August with the winner receiving a stand at the BBC Good Food Show, so show your support to your favourite deli by giving them a business boost.

Of course you can also book your ticket to the show HERE, this  year all advance tickets come with entry to the super theatre where you can see Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry or John Torode or Tom Kitchin! This is great as we visited the theatre and watched John Torode with Ade Edmondson and Natalie Coleman last year.
