Still one of the best places for steak in Glasgow

It’s been almost a year since we last visited The Grill on the Corner so we had to visit again (and it was half price Lobster so keep an eye on their offers!)

Some cocktails to loosen up the evening (free mini woman with my martini. :p)

Croquettes £6

Lovely gooey cheese inside. Perfectly cooked with a tangy warming and spicy sauce.

Mushroom, Leek, Confit Garlic and Cobnut tart £7 (tarragon butter sauce)

Nice and light starter  with a strong garlic taste.   Fluffy puff pastry and enjoyed the delicious Japanese mushrooms.

Hereford rib eye steak £30

From Geoff little, Greenville farm, Wigton, Cumbria

Moist and plump steak cooked rare.
The blue cheese sauce was quite mild and very creamy. It made a good dip for the crispy chips.  The chips were fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside.

Lobster with Thermidor sauce £22

Tender lobster, tangy background to the thermidor sauce.  Good thick cut chips with skins on, mix of crispy and chunky.

Sticky toffee pudding £6

Warm, moist and gooey with melting vanilla ice-cream on top.

Grill_On_The_Corner_Apple_Pie
Apple pie with Lancaster Cheese crust.  Served with custard £5.75

Light cheesy taste to the crust which went well with the apple inside.  Crisp crust and a good dollop of custard.
