We like tea. Well that’s a bit of an understatement. We LOVE tea. We have enough tea to open a shop, however the lovely folk at Eteaket have already done that, plus they do good cake.

We had been through in Edinburgh and stocked up on some sample teas to try.

Eteaket tea

Some chocolate tea, creme caramel red bush and flavoured green tea. Thankfully Santa took my hint for a new teapot. So we thought we would try it out.

The teapot can be purchased online and can be found in the Chinese supermarket on Renfield Street just up from Gordon Street.

The design of the pot means that the tea is held like a cafetiere. The water is held until you press the button at the top for the water to be released.

We went for the chocolate tea. Wow, the smell was like placing your head into a box of chocolates. After letting the tea brew we pressed the button. So much easier than tea strainers! The tea was strong with a slight sweet taste, not too strong, but definitely lighter than a normal

Eteaket are online and at 41 Frederick Street, Edinburgh.
