Drygate Brewing Co. have launched their first limited edition batch of seven ‘Studio Kit’ brews.

Piloted by Drygate’s brewing collective – Jake Griffin, Ed Evans and Alessandra Confessore – the Studio Kit is one-Tenth the size of the main brewery; allowing for experimental and adventurous beers to be created in as little as four hours.

The line-up includes:

*Agamemnon BPA*

Dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin gives Agamenon a full fruity aroma. This beer balances the herbal, spicy characteristics of Belgian yeast against a bitter and dry backbone.

*APA*

The APA’s dry and bitter start gives way to flavours of grapefruit and citrus peel.

*Forelsket*

Forelsket beautifully balances a ready, brioche like backbone with flavours of summer stone fruit and marmalade. It is crisp, clean and delicately bitter.

*RIN Stout*

An incredibly rich and complex malt behemoth of a stout, with a rich yet smooth mouth feel. nNotes of coffee, cocoa and toasted flavours are balanced by hints of treacle and molasses.

*Inevitable Conclusion*

An incredibly bitter double IPA with huge explosions of hop aromatics from a complex blend of American and new world hops.

*Chimera*

An IPA-lager hybrid, which balances a clean, malty lager backbone with the full, fresh hop aroma of a complex American IPA. Citrus and herbal notes on the nose lead to a balanced synergy between malt and orange peel flavours.

A well balanced IPA with a grapefruit and orange on the nose and tropical fruits with slight grapefruit pith on the pallet.

Brewer Ed Evans comments; *“For the first batch we decided to really push the boundaries and go as big as could in regards to flavour. These seven beers are exciting and have really allowed us to show off and bottle our skills. The creative process here is never ending, so having access to experiment like this on the Studio Kit is a luxury very few other brewers have access to.”

Names such as *Inevitable Conclusion*, *Agamemnon*, and *Yaldi*, coupled with the creative and illustrative labels, make it clear there is a unique story behind every beer.

Glasgow-based illustrator and Drygate drayman – John Felix – worked alongside the brewing collective to design labels for each of the beers; drawing influence from Scottish comic book artist, Frank Quietly.

Operations Director, Colin Johnston, is expecting a real thirst for the limited edition beers: “Our Studio Kit allows us to brew fearlessly and without restriction. No other brewery in Scotland can get experimental beers from the brewery to the shop floor so quickly. The team here can make, bottle, and sell anything they want in small batches, and then we can get that all-important feedback from our customers. If demand is there we will brew them again, but always expect a tweak; no two batches will be the same, that’s the beauty of the Studio Kit.”

All seven limited edition beers can now be purchased from the Drygatebottle shop.
