World’s Largest Gin and Tonic Served Up By Deeside Distillery

Fancy some of 875 litres of gin and tonic? That’s what is on offer this weekend at Deeside Distillery’s Sessions Festival this weekend.  The sessions festival is a craft drink, food and music festival. Visitors to the festival will be some of the first to taste it ‘ontap’.

Liam Pennycook, head distiller at Deeside Distillery, said: “We seem to ‘accidentally’ produce world firsts when we develop new ideas and products – it’s definitely the advantage of having our own distillery and producing all our spirits, beers and whisky from scratch. Both the world’s strongest gin and this newly mixed gin and tonic have been the result of us looking to offer new innovative products to our customers. Realising we have produced a potential new record is fun but essentially the product has to taste fantastic and appeal to our customers.

“The gin and tonic has already been sampled and has had amazing feedback. We are officially launching it at our own Sessions Festival this weekend (3-5th August) in Aberdeen and we are sure it will be a massive hit.”
