Bespoke cocktail menu and exclusive herbal afternoon tea, in collaboration with The Botanist Gin
Dalloway Terrace at The Bloomsbury hotel is in full bloom, transforming into a rustic and natural garden with wildflowers. Award-winning floral designers Early Hours have adorned the terrace with blossom, tulips and ranunculus, delicately cascading down onto the luscious herbaceous border.
Marking the arrival of spring and bringing guests a truly herbal experience, Dalloway Terrace has partnered with The Botanist Gin to create a signature seasonal cocktail menu, featuring drinks that balance botanical flavours with crisp seasonal aromas. Foraged items from the English countryside have been crafted for inclusion in a brand-new herbal afternoon tea menu.

Dalloway’s Head Pastry Chef Chris Dodd has infused flavours that complement The Botanist Gin cocktails and used hand-sourced ingredients to create a uniquely Herbal Afternoon Tea. Elements of nature give a herbal lift to his sweet creations which include carrot cake with tarragon and cream cheese mousse; white chocolate, lemon and thyme cream on pistachio sponge; saffron custard tart with Campari poached rhubarb and dark chocolate, cherry and sage chocolate brownie. The selection of savoury sandwiches includes marinated cucumber and cream cheese on spinach bread; poached salmon and crème fraîche on malted cocoa bread; devilled egg mayonnaise on a brioche bun and pastrami, gherkin and mustard mayonnaise on wholemeal bread. Traditional afternoon scones set to impress include the vanilla and lemon and golden raisin which will be served with Devonshire clotted cream and Scottish raspberry jam.
Working closely with The Botanist Gin team, Giovanni Spezziga, General Manager of Dalloway Terrace has devised a series of cocktails. Echoing the brands’ aromatic gin, each of the expertly created cocktails will exude a spring freshness. Cocktails include the Islay Martini; with The Botanist Islay Dry Gin, citrus Oleo-Saccharum and rosemary oil and the Dalloway Collins; made from The Botanist Islay Dry Gin, Earl Grey syrup, lemon juice, Mandarin foam and soda water. Whisky lovers can opt for the Lady Laddie; with Bruichladdich Classic Laddie, Rosolio Di Bergamotto liqueur and Saicho sparkling jasmine tea or the Scotsman; Bruichladdich Classic Laddie, Belle De Brillet, jasmine syrup and limoncello topped with an edible flower.
Further enhancing this spring awakening, on 29th March, Dalloway Terrace will launch a special menu with wild food expert Nick Weston.
