LA based burger restaurant The Counter opened their first UK operation in Glasgow on Monday (5th June) at The Quay.
There are seemingly over 100 ingredients with which you can use to build your perfect burger. Choose from 6 proteins—vegan/veggie patty, beef, chicken, turkey, and salmon (single or double) —to the 14 cheeses, 23 sauces, 34 toppings, six buns, four fresh green bases (on lettuce blend, mixed greens, spinach or kale), and nine sides, phew!
Khalid Iqbal chairman of Daniel Johns Group, said “We have exciting plans for developing The Counter in the UK committing £20m to this new venture over the next five years.”
The Counter Glasgow also offers vegan and gluten free options as well as a kids’ menu. If thinking of all those taste combinations is too much then The Counter offers a list of builds and signature burger suggestions.
Drinks wise there are ice cream shakes, floats, craft beers and wine, cocktails, mocktails and ‘spiked shakes’, including Frozen Mexican Hot Chocolate, Red Velvet or Minted.
