Collage Restaurant, SAS Radisson Glasgow – 9th July 2008

A meal at Collage, I couldn’t say no!

The restaurant is nicely lit, although my only drawback is the cordoning off of the breakfasting area which is slap bang in the middle of the room.

Staff are friendly, attentive but not in your face. My favourite.

We started off with three types of bread, some mixed olive and some olive and balsamic mix – very nice. Im not a big olive fan and I did dip into a couple of these.

To start i had pea and mint risotto with montery jack cheese

Mark had curried tomato soup, forgot to take a photo of that but it was pleasant, a mild curry taste and quite thick.

Main courses were paprika chicken, with sauteed potatoes and some roasted vegetables for me and for the man salmon wrapped in parma ham with baby potatoes and vegetables. Both went down well. Must remember and try the ham with my salmon

For dessert Mark had a honeycomb cheesecake (more like a mousse really) and some cream. I had mixed local cheeses with oatcakes and some grapes. Both were very nice. Although would have been nice to know what the local cheeses where.

Our meal was accompanied by a bottle of El Lapiz Chenin Blanc-Chardonnay (Argentina), 2007/08 which was £19 a bottle.

Definately want to go back!
