We were invited along to a #coffeewithcurrys event to showcase the new Nespresso Prodigio.  A blog post from Currys can be found here.

The event started with a guide through the years of the Nespresso machine.  Below you will see the very first machine – very retro looking.

This was the first time you could make restaurant coffee at home, no more bland instant coffee.

As you can see the machine has developed a lot.  With frothers added and some sleek design tweaks over the years.

The new Prodigio machine is app enabled.  From your phone you can order coffee pods, start a cup brewing or time a cup to be ready for when you awaken!

Part of the fun of the evening was our meal. The menu contained dishes using Nespresso coffee.

We were treated to a scrumptious four-course meal of buffalo mozzarella,  risotto, pan fried venison and coffee panna cotta. coffee with currys nespresso glasgow foodie explorers

The touches of coffee were interesting, especially the coffee jus alongside the mozzarella.  The bitter coffee working well with the sweet tomato and creamy buffalo mozzarella.

It was an interesting night finding out about Nespresso coffee and the new Prodigio coffee maker.

We were invited as guests of Currys and Nespresso and did not receive payment for this post.
