Cranberry Orange & Blackberry Smoothie

Makes 2 medium glasses

200g fresh cranberries ( or frozen if your prefer)
125g blackberries
1 large orange (freshly squeezed)
2 tsp honey (to taste)
1 tbsp natural yoghurt

• Add cranberries, blackberries, orange juice and honey into blender and process.
• Stir in the natural yoghurt and serve immediately.

Smoothies are so easy to make as soft fruit or frozen fruit can easily be processed in a blender very quickly (especially frozen fruit). The red berry fruits produce a tangy flavour and are ideal to top up your intake of vitamin C. Blackberries are full of antioxidants and are a great immune booster.

Kiwi Chia Seed Jam

Makes approximately 150 g

4 kiwi fruit
3 tsp honey
2tsp orange juice
3 tsp chia seeds

• Wash and peel Kiwi fruit and chop into large chunks. Add the fruit, honey orange juice in blender and process until relatively soft.
• Add the chia seeds. Place in fridge for 25-30 minutes. Chia seeds should now have thickened the jam consistency.

Easily refrigerated in a tightly-fitted screw top jar and will be fine for at least a week (if it lasts that long!). Ideal to serve on toasted bagels or use as a topping on porridge or even with a bowl of natural yoghurt.

Kiwi fruit is high in vitamin C and chia seeds are a great addition for your fibre intake plus a good source of natural plant protein.
