Bring your travels home with Essence of Harris

30/09/2021 by Emma

Relaunch of core Essence of Harris range

Essence of Harris, the Outer Hebrides-based lifestyle brand that takes its inspiration from the natural beauty and heritage of the Isle of Harris, has relaunched its Classic Collections range.

We popped into their shop in Princes Square, Glasgow to have a look, and a sniff of the luxurious, hand-poured candles, home fragrances, reed-diffusers, bath and body products.

Sustainably seems to be a keyword with Essence of Harris. The packaging for their bath and body products are from 100% recycled plastic.  There are brand-new refill pouches from Essence of Harris with refill stations are also available in both the Tarbert and Glasgow stores.

Each Essence of Harris scent is named after the island’s famous beaches:

Seilebost, named after a stunning beach on the west coast of the island, has deep notes of pomegranate and plum

Essence of Harris

Huisinis, in the north of Harris, is a stunning beach at the end of a 12-mile-long single-track road – its fragrance has notes of pomelo and orange

Essence of Harris

Horgabost, also on the west coast of the island, is small but perfectly formed sandy beach that gives its name to an intriguing scent based around lemongrass and ginger

Essence of Harris

Losgaintir, the world-famous beach – Luskentyre – evokes tones of coconut and bergamot, in tune with its miles of white sand and seductive green-blue water (and the fave of Mrs F cough cough Mr F)

Where to buy

Essence of Harris products are available in the flagship Tarbert shop on Harris, the newest shop in Princes Square, Glasgow, and online.
