Markthalle Neun Street Food Thursday

Street Food Thursday is a weekly food event in the Markthalle Neun building and gathers together a gaggle of street food vendors.

The market hall operates Friday and Saturday so the owners thought to increase use and get more people in. They certainly have succeeded. The place was jumping. Stalls selling German, American, British, Indian, Chinese, Japanese everything seems to be here.

Everyone wants Käsespätzle

From Käsespätzle made with several different cheeses and topped with roasted onions (As a Mac and Cheese fan we just had to and it was delicious!) to Kimchi, we were surrounded by good food.

The guys at Heisser Hobel won the Best Overseas Trader Award at the British Street Food Awards 2013 for their Käsespätzle.

Other delights included fish salad and cucumber and lime ice lollies.

Three on-site brewed beers are available

Just don’t forget some ale at Heidenpeters brewery or a great glass of wine at the place next to it to lubricate you.

This is one for the top of the to-do list, excellent food, great atmosphere and free entry too!

TIP

The event officially ends at 10 pm but many of the food stalls run out of food around 8-9pm.
