DAVID SHRIGLEY X SYNERGY CONCERTS
PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT SYNERGY’S LIVE MUSIC INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS AND THE TRUSSELL TRUST
David Shrigley and Synergy Concerts have today announced a collaboration on a limited-edition apparel line, with the aim of generating emergency support for Synergy’s music industry stakeholders affected by Coronavirus.
The artist and illustrator has gifted ‘Trapped Inside A Bubble’ for the collaboration which will feature on two collectable items; a white cotton tee and a canvas tote bag. Both pieces feature the Synergy and David Shrigley stamps of authenticity.
Proceeds from sales of the covetable merchandise will provide critical and immediate support for Synergy’s many self-employed stakeholders and small suppliers. Furthermore, Synergy will donate 10% of all profit to The Trussell Trust, the UK charity that runs a network of over 420 foodbanks, providing emergency food to people in need.
Speaking about the announcement, Grainne Braithwaite-Vedamanikam, Founder of Synergy Concerts said;
“The impact of Coronavirus on the live music industry has been immediate and severe. Faced with the stark reality of Synergy’s entire revenue being halted almost overnight we have been forced to think outside the box on ways to support the many stakeholders dependant on the company’s success.
“From self-employed staff to small suppliers across a breadth of professions such as graphic designers, printers and postering teams, to independent media outlets, production companies and touring agents, so many are facing real hardship. We also recognise foodbanks across the country are now under further pressure and in response to this The Trussell Trust will receive 10% of all profit generated from sales of the merchandise.
“We are immensely grateful to David Shrigley for responding so quickly and with such generosity on this collaboration. Thanks to his gifting of what is a timely design, people now have the unique opportunity to own a piece of his work; a real art collectable, and know that they will be helping many in genuine need.”
