Start the day as you mean to go on with a sumptuous hollandaise-smothered eggs benedict with smoked salmon, and the best bit is that it couldn’t be easier! Aldi’s Specially Selected Salmon Eggs Royale Kit (£4.99) includes a pack of luxurious Scottish smoked salmon, four pre-poached free-range eggs, four breakfast blinis and a sachet of hollandaise sauce.
Champagne would be the ultimate drinks match with these breakfasts – try Aldi’s award-winning Veuve Monsigny Champagne (£12.99) produced by the consistently excellent house of Philizot & Fils, exclusively for Aldi. According to independent wine critic and TV personality, Jilly Goolden, Aldi’s Veuve Monsigny champagne is worth double (£25) its £12.99 price tag, offering staggering quality for such a reasonable price. Its tart apple and citrus are great at cutting through the richness of the smoked salmon. And since its breakfast, a little glug of freshly squeezed orange juice couldn’t hurt.
Aldi’s Specially Selected British Free-Range Turkey Parcel (£24.99/1.45kg). The parcel is made with free-range turkey and hand-prepared, stuffed with a festive British Red Tractor pork, bacon and cranberry stuffing, which also happens to be gluten-free! The parcel is topped with rashers of smoked bacon.
No Turkey Roast (350g, £2.99), a festive, taste sensation of cranberry, apricot and pumpkin seed stuffing, wrapped in a soya and tofu coating.
Merry Christmas!
