Bamberg backpackers Germany accommodation

Situated in the picturesque UNESCO World Heritage centre of Bamberg, Backpackers Bamberg Backpackers Bamberg is handily located for both the old town and transport links.

With accommodation comprising single rooms up to 6 bed dorms, with free wifi, free tea and coffee as well as areas to relax in and socialise.

Each of us had our own single bed, with linen and towels waiting for us on our beds.

Basic accommodation with some storage, a table to sit at as well as controllable  heating.  The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Shared bathrooms were on each floor with shower areas, dressing areas and toilets.

The communal area consisted of  a large kitchen and dining area.  Free tea/coffee and basic breakfast items e.g cornflakes and muesli.

An easy to operate hob and oven, two fridges as well as enough cups, pots and pans to cook a banquet (if you wanted to!)

Just off this room was a terraced area with seating and the best looking home grown tomatoes.

Downstairs there is a washing machine and dryer available for €2.

A quiet hostel with friendly owners, handy for shops (around the corner are supermarkets, bars and takeaways.

About 15 mins walk from the hostel is the old town of Bamberg.  Here you can try the “rauchbier” (smoked beer) and visit their historic breweries.
