1. Queens Cafe

A long family favourite. I’m sure my parents thought I loved walks to Queen’s Park but it was really an excuse to get an ice cream cone from here.  Suitably vintage and retro.

2. Loop and Scoop

Relative newcomer to the scene, Loop and Scoop provide theatrical and delicious creations.  A big fave of Abs and her mum see their review here – https://www.foodieexplorers.co.uk/launch-of-loop-and-scoop/

Mr Foodie’s favourite ice cream growing up is available to buy at various shops.  Their Scottish tablet flavour is suitably naughty.

4. University Cafe

An institution, don’t be swayed by the deep-fried mars bar. Stick to a single or double nougat for taste of creamy ice cream.

5. Newlands Cafe

A gem of a place. Ice cream, sweeties and a proper traditional cafe.   Their vanilla ice cream is simply 😍.  Give their pistachio a try as well.
