1901, Haggs Road/Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow – May 2011 *CLOSED*

King Prawn in Tempura Batter with Chilli Jam £4.95

Tempura batter was a little bit thick for tempura but still chunky prawn and not greasy.

Salmon was on special with a lemon mash.  Moist salmon and tart mash.  Scrummy.

1901 burger £6.50.  Good burger, tasty but the usual frozen chips let it down. Otherwise a good burger.

Visit Jan 2009

We decided to go to 1901 as we hadn’t been there for a while and it always delivers.

Goats Cheese Crostini

Chicken Liver Pate

Roast Beef

Salmon with Soy

Banoffi pie

Orange Sorbet

Once again good service, great food and a good price. £32 for two three course meals and two glasses of house wine 🙂 My only gripe being cold toilets with a bit of a foosty smell to the carpet. Otherwise smashing!

Visit November 2006

Had lunch in 1901, Pollokshaws Road in the bistro. Very nice and would thoroughly recommend it. 3 course lunch, two glasses of wine and coffee £26.

Thai fish cake, home made soup. Fish Pie, Roasted veg and brie parcel and then sticky toffee pudding. Good portions and excellent quality. Definately be back
