Product Review: Stoats Triple Berry Muesli

Stoats triple berry muesli

Stoats triple berry muesli Stoats Scottish oat muesli with mixed dried berries

Mr Foodie loves his muesli and buys loads of it   – natural or Bircher – he’s your man.  I’m more of a “I’ll have a bowl maybe today” kinda person as I’ve found a lot of muesli to be too oaty and dry.  I pinched a bowl of Mr Foodie’s Stoats Triple Berry Muesli to give it a try.

Appearance

The oats in their packet looked tasty. A lovely golden colour not the usual bland boring looking oats. The pieces of fruit (raisins, cranberries, blueberries and raspberries) gave pops of colour – which made even me want a bowl!  Bonus of no powdery dregs at the bottom of the bag (I finished the whole box just to check ;-)! )

Taste

I really liked the balance of oats and fruit.  It wasn’t too sweet and not too dry and “healthy” tasting! Just the right amount of fruit to make it tasty but not too much to ramp up the sugar level.

Ingredients

Scottish oats (30%), barley flakes, toasted rye flakes, toasted spelt flakes, flame raisins, sweetened dried cranberries (7%) (cranberries (55%), sugar, sunflower oil), sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, dried blueberries (5%), dried raspberries (1%).

Suitable for vegetarians.

Thoughts

I really liked this muesli.  The amount of seeds, fruit and oats was very tasty and kept me full for a couple of hours. A tough task for any food!

The boxes cost around £3.18
