Lifestyle – Merchant Square Hogmanay

MERCHANT SQUARE HOGMANAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Merchant Square in Glasgow has released tickets for its annual Hogmanay celebration, sponsored by Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer, giving revellers the chance to bring in the New Year under the twinkling lights of its spacious indoor courtyard.

Tickets are available now from venues within Merchant Square for £25 per person. With eight fantastic bars all under one roof and a jam packed entertainment programme – Merchant Square has everything revellers need to make this Hogmanay one to remember.

Doors open at 7pm with DJ Colin McArdle on the decks throughout the night to get the party started. The main stage in Merchant Square’s courtyard will be the centre hub of entertainment, kicking off with a high energy dance battle from the Spotlight Dancers followed by Stax of Motown – a fantastic 11 piece soul band guaranteed to get the party going.

It wouldn’t be Hogmanay without a good ceilidh and Merchant Square has Callanish lined up to add a touch of true Scottish tradition to the night’s entertainment.

At midnight, Merchant Square will mark the start of the New Year with a flurry of colour and fun as hundreds of balloons are released before Callanish returns to the stage to keep the party going until 1am.

Throughout the evening guests can hop around their favourite Merchant Square bars and restaurants soaking up the party atmosphere including Metropolitan, Bar Square, Beer Café, Mercado, Boudoir Wine Bar, Arisaig, Fanelli’s and Chophouse Brasserie. Each venue will also have its own ticket and dining package available for those looking to enjoy a Hogmanay feast at their favourite Merchant Square restaurant.

Entry into all bars and restaurants within Merchant Square is included in the £25 ticket price.
