Miller and Carter Glasgow

Restaurant Review: Miller and Carter, 47 St Vincent Street, Glasgow

Grand premises, grand food? Over the last few years Glasgow’s St Vincent Street has become burger central with properties transformed into burger chains seemingly as soon as they become vacant. Miller and Carter is sited at 47 Vincent Street where the Post Office used to be, and long before that a bank (as referenced by the

Food Review: The Brass Rail, Selfridges Food Hall, London

The Tastiest Salt Beef Sandwich in London? The Brass Rail has been part of Selfridges food hall for yonks. There is a reason for that. They do great salt beef sandwiches. It’s been tweaked over the years, with pulled stuff in buns added to the menu. But the reason people go there are the

Food Review: Bread Meats Bread, 104 St Vincent Street, Glasgow

Burger heaven at Bread Meats Bread Bread Meats Bread has been open for a good couple of years now, so it was time for another visit to see what's new and what's changed. We nipped in early enough at lunchtime to grab some seats. The menu has settled down to reflect local tastes and with the addition of some  specials, so keep

leith chop house edinburgh restaurant bar steak beer glasgow foodie explorers

Food Review: Leith Chop House, 102 Constitution Street, Leith

The team behind Sygn, Monteiths and The West Room in central Edinburgh have now opened Chop House in Leith,  which seeks to showcase the best of Scottish steak.  We travelled through to Leith to check out the restaurant, try some steak and quaff some specially-brewed beer... Food Review: Butchershop Bar & Grill, 1055 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, G3 7UD

It's all about the meat Following a recent visit to Hutchesons Bar & Brasserie we finally made it along to the original The Butchershop Bar & Grill for some meat. Inside is relaxed and informal. Cosy booths or tables through the back seperated by a cocktail bar area. We were intrigued by the meat menu and the

Food Review: The Bird, Am Falkplatz. 5, Berlin, Germany

Muffin top at The Bird, Berlin One of the places we had to visit  in Berlin was The Bird. It's listed on every To Do burger list and is seen as one of the best burger joints in Berlin, so off we went after a hard day's touristing. Near to Mauerpark with tube stations nearby at Schönhauser Allee and Eberswalder Straße.

Kitty O'Shea's Glasgow

Food Review: Kitty O’Shea’s, 15 Waterloo Street, Glasgow

** UPDATE** New Menu - not as good looking as  before  🙁 Located in the basement bar where  Pivo Pivo used to reside on Waterloo Street, you'll find a new Irish pub called Kitty O'Shea's but thankfully not of the generic bland kind, as this place is pretty quirky and far more steampunk looking than the Steampunk cafe ever was!

Mother India Westminster terrace west end Glasgow

Food review: Mother India, 28 Westminster Terrace, Glasgow G3 7RU

Mother India has been a staple for curry in my family since around 2000. It was my first experience of properly spiced fish and I'm glad to see the spiced haddock is still on the menu! It had been a while since I'd been and Mr Foodie had never been but was eager to find something better
